Charlie is the tall, smiling, thumbs up giving, student back center. It is good to see him and his classmates having fun. I have not had a lot of opportunity to talk with Charlie over the phone because they are busy from 5am to 10pm most days. Charlie's days are spent in praise and worship, power time (prayer and Bible study), learning, and exploring the city. Most classes are taught in Spanish and translated, but Charlie is already learning the cadence of the language and picking up on words, phrases, and ideas here and there. I think it helps him to have grandparents who often fall back into their native Dutch mid-sentence :) He has become accustomed to "putting it together".
Charlie and the team went to visit some historical sites in Mexico City and were awed by the architecture.
